December 3 + 4, 2016 · 11 AM – 6 PM · California Market Center
We played hooky today at Unique LA’s Holiday Market and snuck away from our booth to meet some of the other designers and artists at the event (and check out their one-of-a-kind goods!). We could have spent hours oohing and aahing over just about everything on the 13th floor of California Market Center. We were especially jealous of everyone participating in the Paul Frank DIY Den with the cartoonist himself! Day 2 is tomorrow! To purchase tickets to the Unique LA Holiday Market, visit Eventbrite.
Here are our five favorite items from Day 1:
Amanda McAulay · handcrafted in Los Angeles for your kitchen and home. Amanda’s home goods are everything! Each item is a work of perfection. Stop by and check out the video she has on display showing you her work process in making these wooden masterpieces. Fave item: Countertop Egg Trays! @amandamcaulaydesign
Pretty and Perky · small batch handcrafted soaps, bath and body products, as well as home fragrances. We’re a little biased on this one because we know Pretty and Perky from CRAFTED, where we both set up shop in LA’s largest year-round handmade marketplace. Their loofah soaps are fab and their bath bombs are…well…da’ bomb! Our favorite item: All of their loofah soaps! Photo credit: @prettyandperky
Indust-realized · Indust-Realized is Alexandra Fowler’s curated collection of creations by several artists from DTLA. Here you’ll find curiosities for creating the coolest curio, from specimen models to creatures of whimsy. Everything in this shop is truly “Unique” including Alex’s vintage gauges which she transforms into pieces for modern day applications such as smart phone docking and charging stations, lighting and storage solutions. This one is a must-see and she just so happens to be our beloved boothmate! Go Booth #148. Fave item: Sea Urchin Spine jewelry @indust_realized
Bella Jackson Studios · Vintage silverware repurposed into meaningful gifts
You can’t go wrong with a gift from Bella Jackson Studios. Their vintage silverware is hand stamped with sassy sayings like Game of Scones, Owl Always Love You…they even have a butter spreader that reads “I Loaf You.” Our fave item: Twas the Night Before Christmas stamped spoon!
